Mission Valley Real Estate

Mission Valley is the ideal place to live for the San Diegan on the go. Located in virtually the exact center of the city of San Diego, Mission Valley is wonderfully connected to all the city has to offer. Interstate 8, the city's main artery, runs through Mission Valley, and it is flanked by two north-south freeways. Residents of Mission Valley have in their backyards three malls, a stadium and a brand-new library.

Fashion Valley, Mission Valley Mall and Hazard Center all offer great shopping options to residents. With lots of free parking, it's easy to take a trip to all three in a day. Each mall has a movie theater, and Fashion Valley and Hazard Center are connected to the rest of San Diego with trolley stations right outside their entrances.

Qualcomm Stadium is home to the San Diego Chargers and also occasionally hosts games for other sports. Formerly Jack Murphy Stadium, it is a true landmark of the city and is connected to Mission Valley via the trolley.

The newest branch of the San Diego Public Library system is in Mission Valley as well. With multiple computers equipped with high-speed internet access, bright study and meeting areas and lots of natural light, the new library's popularity has spread and San Diegans now come from all across the county to take advantage of its great facilities.

Many Mission Valley residents either work in the immediate area at one of the several business parks and highrises, or commute downtown via the trolley, which has more station stops in this area than any other in the city. From Fashion Valley to downtown is about a 15-minute trip on the trolley.

Mission Valley has experienced incredible growth in the last few years, and apartments and condominiums have been springing up annually. The newest complexes are gated and boast amenities like workout facilities, swimming pools and shuttle services. Reported in February 2006, the average sales price of a single family or condo in Mission Valley was $366,073. Very few single-family houses exist in the area, and most condominiums are still brand-new, making Mission Valley real estate a rare and desirable option.
