San Diego State University's new Trolley station is now open, providing great public transportation downtown. By car, Del Cerro is easily accessible to Interstate 8 and a drive downtown takes about half an hour in rush hour traffic.

As of February 2006, the average sales price of a Del Cerrro home was $610,275. Prices are quickly appreciating in value as available property in Del Cerro becomes scarcer. In addition, some new developments are under construction on a previously undeveloped side of the hill. These new homes are predicted to fetch more than $1 million. Del Cerro real estate is a sound investment.
